Detail descriptions for Due Farina Women's Marlo Bootie:
You'll be positively fierce when you're strutting your stuff in the Marlo Bootie from Due Farina. The sleek patent leather upper connects in jagged, saw-tooth-style to an elastic-enforced strap that buckles at the ankle for a daring trend that's half sandal, half ankle boot. The tapered high heel and slightly rounded toe complete this sexy style, further complemented by the luxe leather sole perfect for work or play.

Due Farina was started by Fabiana Rigamonti and Marina Rosin in the Spring of 2004 while studying footwear design with Howard Davis at the Parsons School of Design. They never considered making shoe design their full time career, as they were both on paths to more "practical" career choices. However, the complex and creative craft of shoe design and shoe making became an addiction, and before they had a chance to ponder the direction their careers had taken, the designers had an order from Otto Tootsie Plohound for Spring '05 delivery, at the time, a very hip store. They were designing shoes that reflected the dynamic of where they grew up, and how that formed their fashion sensibility. Fabiana is from Milan, and therefore influenced by the feminine and chic Italian woman. Marina was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, however grew up New York. Marina lives in Wiliamsburg, Brooklyn and is inspired by the downtown hipster style of her neighborhood. Fusing these points of views together, they summarize their style as modern and aggressive.
